Movie Set Monday- The Parent Trap Hallie’s Napa Home

Happy Monday, y’all! I’ve recently come across a few more homes that have been begging to be featured on Movie Set Monday, and I’ve finally put together some posts about them. I recently saw that The Parent Trap was on TV, and I remembered loving that movie as a kid. Now that I’m all grown up I watch it in an entirely different way. The homes are amazing, and the relationship and arrangement with those twins is quite interesting. Hmm… Anyway, let’s visit Hallie’s California vineyard in Napa.

The ivy growing up the house is so charming.
Those ceilings are beautiful. The French doors and the arches, too. Perfection.
I sort of love this door situation.
Leading out to that porch. How perfect for entertaining if you just open up all the doors. Can I move in yet?
As if the house wasn’t beautiful enough. That view.

It’s such a stunning home. My favorite part is the porch with all the arches. Coffee, dinner, parties, reading, you name it, it should be done on that porch.

I’m old enough to remember the original Parent Trap with Haley Mills. Well, let me rephrase that. I wasn’t born when it was released, but I remember watching it as a child before the Nancy Meyers version of The Parent Trap came out. I did some digging to find some photos of that house too. Y’all, it’s good.

Cannot get enough of this sofa.
The wood mantel…I think it’s a mantel…makes my eyes turn to hearts. I love that detail so much. Also, that giant lamp shade.
The tiles on the stairs are so pretty.
The windows in this kitchen are dreamy. Imagine all the morning light streaming in.

Look at that suspended vanity! What an interesting idea! I’m putting it on my list of things to do for the future.
The lamp shades are so huge. Was that a thing?
The pattern mixing is so fun in this bathroom. It looks so elegant with the gold hardware, too. I love this.

These umbrellas with the fringe just went to the top of my list for patio furniture.

Um, so I think I like the original house better than the new one. I know God planned for me to be alive in this day and age, but I sure would have loved it back then, too. I’m so thankful for movies and photos and stories from the past. Which one is your favorite? Tell me in the comments.
