My Favorite Things Gift Guide

Happy December 1st, my friends!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and I’ve got so many gift guides for you. Today we’re kicking things off with my favorite things! Some are practical, some are fun, but all are truly my favorite things that I use, enjoy, and love.

My Favorite Things Gift Guide

  1. Big Cozy Blanket– I’m almost always under a blanket when lounging on the sofa. I was gifted this super comfy oversize blanket as a teacher gift last year and now that it’s gotten colder out, I’m loving it. It’s cozy enough for the dogs and me on the couch and big enough to throw over the bed for an extra layer on those chilly nights. Excellent gift idea for anyone and for an excellent price.
  2. Brit and Co Planner– I bought this planner last year at Target on clearance. I had planned to get a really good one that had a hefty price tag, but I decided to give this one a go. I’m so glad I did! I plan to repurchase this brand again for 2019. It’s got the monthly and weekly layouts with plenty of room to write and spaces for notes. There are even cute little color pages at the back, but I’ll admit I’ve never used those. They’re still cute illustrations and would provide a fidgety little one something to do in a pinch. Highly recommend this as a gift to yourself or to your super organized friend.
  3. Teleties Hair Ties– I’ve talked about these before, and I’m still singing their praises. Every time someone comes in Wisteria Cottage and has a skeptical look on their face about these hair ties, I almost always convince them to buy one and give it a go. They don’t leave a crease in your hair or get tangled. A total must-have in my book. Get them at Wisteria Cottage or I’ve linked to Amazon, too.
  4. Peds No Show Socks– I’m crazy about these socks! When it comes to booties with cutouts, these socks are the best. The ones I wear have a little silicone pad at the heel so that they don’t slide off your foot. I wear them all the time and need more. I recently learned about these that would be perfect for mules and backless booties. They’re on my Christmas list this year.
  5. Lighted Makeup Mirror– I don’t get ready in the bathroom every morning, so this makeup mirror is essential in my daily routine. I’ve been using mine for two years now and will never go without one. This one is very sleek and would look great in a bathroom or on any vanity you have.
  6. Beautycounter Lip Gloss– I know you’ve heard me say before how incredible these lip glosses are. I’ve honestly never used a better one. This is the holiday gift set that was released this year, but you can always get full size glosses and in tons of colors. Bonus gift idea and personal favorite: The Charcoal Bar and No. 3 Balancing Facial Mask. These are my ride or die products if you’ll forgive the millennial sentiment. They truly detox your skin and come in a very cute holiday set.
  7. Time and Tru Jeggings from Walmart– These were my Thanksgiving pants. True story. My mom gave me a pair of these because she had been wearing and loving them so much. I was skeptical because jeggings, but I’m telling you, they are the best pants ever. I need a pair for every day, and I want multiple pairs of the black ones too. Plus, they’re a steal at $12.36!
  8. Dry Shampoo– I honestly don’t know how I lived without it for so long. I’ve been a convert for several years now and recently started making my own. You can get my recipe here, or you can get a highly reviewed one here, but I’ll admit I’ve never used it.
  9. Date Night- This technically isn’t a product. It’s just something I’ve been practicing a lot this year. Paul and I try to have a weekly date night, and we’re better because of it. Here’s how you can gift this: gift cards to local restaurants, movie theaters, or classes; include a free night of babysitting for the night they choose to go out. If you’re gifting on a larger scale, pick a date night idea for each month and give the gift cards with a cute calendar already marked with their date night activity. Super personal and thoughtful.
  10. Magnolia Journal– I shared a post a while back about the publications I like to read. Yes, I still read paper magazines and have a huge stack that I should really go through soon. I’m still crazy about HGTV magazine, but Magnolia Journal has got so much heart and soul in its pages. I hope they’ll eventually expand from quarterly to monthly, but I sure do get excited when I get the quarterly issue in the mail.

There you have it. Ten of my favorite things that would make a great gift idea for all kinds of people on your Christmas list. Which of these do you have too or were added to your list today? Let me know in the comments.

Come back tomorrow for my Cozy Gift Guide, and if you’re not already subscribed, click the arrow at the top of your screen and enter your email address so that it’ll drop into your inbox in the morning. Happy Saturday, friends!
