Seven on a Saturday- Game Day Outfit Ideas from Wisteria Cottage

While at work at Wisteria Cottage on Thursday I started looking around at all the new arrivals and quickly noticed that there were several great game day options. Now before you click away from this post- I know it’s July and several weeks away from any real game day action- remember that it’s never too soon to start putting together cute outfits for tailgating, house parties, or just wanting to show your school spirit. Today I’ve put together seven outfits that would be perfect for any Auburn and, yes, Alabama fan.

Auburn Fans

Look #1- Easy, breezy, and perfect for a hot day of tailgating on the plains. Pair with your favorite comfy flats and maybe even a hat to shield you from the sun. It’s reading redish in the picture, but I assure you that it’s orange.

Look #2- The perfect, lightweight wrap dress. For those of you that like to keep it cool while tailgating but aren’t quite as bold as the outfit above, this one will check all the boxes. Again, pair with comfy flats, a clear bag if you’re going into the stadium, and some oversized sunnies to be the most stylish lady at your tailgate.

Look #3- This comfy twist tie navy top is lightweight and pairs well with white bottoms or even orange ones. I’ve paired it here with a statement earring, but the neckline is perfect for a statement necklace or long one. (Like this one) This cute clutch also has a cross body strap and plenty of zippers to store everything you need. There’s several available in store and in an array of colors.

Alabama Fans

Look #1- I was able to wear this dress in this week’s Facebook New Arrivals Video, and though it isn’t my team’s color, it was a great dress, and I thought about buying it for myself. But then there were all those cute Auburn options. Oh well, that’s more for you Bama fans! This dress is super comfy, flattering, and the perfect shade of red for an Alabama football game. I styled it with these shoes that aren’t on the website, but they’re so comfy that I had to tell you about them. I love the grey details on the clear bag that fit with school colors and fit with the stadium rules. You could always swap the wedges for flats, but you really won’t need to.

Look #2- This top is so good. I find this color to be very flattering on my fair skin and know it would look great on a darker skin tone as well. I paired with white denim, but it would be great with black, red, or regular jeans. The shoes are the same brand as the above wedges and are also very comfortable. Not to mention how cute they are in all their on-trend snake print goodness. Because I kept with a neutral pant, I threw on a layered crimson fringe necklace with beaded earrings in the same color.

Look #3- This color blocked, tie front top was so comfy. I wish it came in orange and blue. I paired it here with a lighter wash distressed denim. If you haven’t had the pleasure of trying on a pair of Judy Blue jeans from Wisteria Cottage, get yourself up there now to try them on. There’s a magical amount of stretch in them, and they are just so comfortable. I loved the big snake print tote to go along with it and the dainty grey and gold hoop earrings. Obviously you’d need to wear shoes…not sure where mine were at the time…but I’d go with a small wedge or flatform for some height or even your favorite pair of Birks.

LSU Fans

SURPRISE! Because so many of you sweet friends from Louisiana keep up with me here, I didn’t want to leave you out! This look is perfect for a day of tailgating in those hellishly hot temperatures down there in Baton Rouge. I’d definitely pair with a cute sandal for easy walking and a clear bag to enter Death Valley. 🙂

Bonus Because It’s Cute

I couldn’t not feature this one. It’s been two days since I’ve been to the store, so I have no idea how many are left, but it’s so cute, work appropriate, and I think an Alabama fan can pull this one off as a game day option if paired with the right accessories.

I can’t believe I put together seven looks for game day in June, but when the gettins good you’ve got to get!
I know a certain Norman in my house that’s ready for football season to start back up. Anyone else ready?
