Seven on a Saturday- Bathroom Inspiration

Happy Saturday, friends! Do you remember when I gave our guest bathroom a little refresher? And then I decided to share a before of our master bath? Well, I haven’t done anything else to it; it looks exactly the same. I hit mental roadblocks when it come to home decor sometimes. Especially because I have champagne taste on a beer budget and really have to reel my ideas back in. And because we rent, I won’t make drastic changes like new lighting or wallpaper, but a girl can dream, right? Scroll through for some beautiful images and some incredible inspiration. Each photo is linked to it’s source.

Sconce Lighting

Not only is the lighting awesome, but this vanity is spectacular! So is the sink and hardware. And the paneling. And the hexagon tile. Okay, the whole thing is incredible.

Chandelier Lighting

Chandeliers won’t work in every bathroom, but it sure works in this one! Thinking outside the box with lighting can sometimes make all the difference in a room. How luxe would it be to soak under that chandelier with a few candles burning while sipping a glass of wine? I don’t even like baths and I’d be on board for it in this space.

Painted Vanity

I love the idea of painting an existing vanity. It’s not always in the budget to replace what’s already there, so why not make it just a bit better with a fresh coat of fun paint? I think she nailed it here. The elongated hexagon mirror in the brass finish works so well with the brass sconces and hardware. Simply beautiful.

Stenciled Walls

Can you believe this is a stencil? I think it is such an interesting pattern and not one I’ve seen anywhere else. Julia is a master at DIY, so it’s worth perusing her blog if you have a minute to click over. If you’re into the look of wallpaper, but like me, you pick out the most expensive ones (champagne taste), then get back down to your beer budget and buy a stencil and a can of paint. Voila! Looks like wallpaper but didn’t cost you an arm and a leg!

Surprise Your Guests With Humor

I mean, can you imagine pulling back the curtain to find this when visiting friends? Hysterical!

Dark/Moody Walls

Something about dark walls seems so elegant. One way to keep it from seeming like a dark box of a room is to make sure you have some good natural light and/or plenty of white. This one is delightful.

Have Fun with Tile

Apparently I’m feeling the hexagon. It’s muted tones keep it from being too busy. Don’t be afraid of a pattern tile. Keep everything else simple and make sure nothing competes with it. See how she only has a small pattern on the hand towel? Perfect!

Maybe this will give me the incentive to get moving on my master bathroom. I’m hoping to at least have the walls painted white before Christmas. I’m sure I said that last year. Oh boy…
Have you made any changes to your bathroom lately? Did you do a full reno or just a little refresh like I did? What are some tips you have for me? Tell me in the comments.

Okay, friends, I hope your weekend is wonderful!
