5 Good Things No. 2

Monday again! However, this is sort of my last workday Monday. Woo Hoo! Today is my day to head to school and clean up my classroom and close out the school year. I’d say the 2019-2020 school year will go down as the strangest year I’ve had of my teaching career. I’m sure that goes for most of us teachers. We did get some good news in finding out that the Hamilton movie, which is just the Broadway stage production with the original cast filmed, will be coming to Disney+ on July 3rd! My theater nerd self is stoked! Who else is excited?

Essie Nail Polish in Mod Square

I’ve had a lot of pink nail polishes in my day, but this one is my absolute favorite for spring and summer. I ran out at the beginning of quarantine and have just managed to get my hands on a bottle. While I do prefer Essie Gel Couture polishes more, they don’t make this color in the Gel Couture formulation. (Well, I haven’t been able to find it.) But I find when I use the Gel Couture Top Coat even on this formulation of Mod Square, my manicure lasts so much longer.

Entro Tops at Wisteria Cottage

COVID-19 may have put a stop to opening shop doors and may have closed down market visits, but the things that were ordered for spring from the last market trips are SO GOOD. These Entro tops that have come in since quarantine to Wisteria Cottage are the cutest, easiest, throw-on-and-go tops. I have the white one, a hot pink version that’s no longer available and a black one. They are very much like the Jodifl ones we all know and love. They are so easy to pair with jeans, work pants, shorts, and they can be dressed up or down. I have my true size (XL) in all of them, but I could have gone down a size (L) in the V-neck. They’re also super affordable and will be the perfect addition to your wardrobe.

Spinach and Sausage Gnocchi with Sage

If you want a delicious meal, go ahead and make this delightful one-pot-wonder. If you’ve never cooked gnocchi before, don’t be intimidated. It’s as easy as opening the package and dumping it in the pot. The oven does the rest. This recipe (much like the salmon one) reaches the “Top 10 Things You’ve Ever Made” list for my husband. I’ve made it before, and for some reason he brought it up again last week. We have a lot of deer sausage in our freezer, so instead of using our beloved Connecuh Sausage I decided to go with what we had. It was still delicious. Definitely use the sage. I know that’s not a common spice (well, it wasn’t for me), but it is an amazing flavor to this dish. Find the recipe here. You can also find it and other favorites on my Pinterest Recipe Board.

Dead to Me Season Two

Dead To Me" Season 2 Thoughts

After being fully and delightfully surprised at how good season 1 was, I was thrilled when I heard Dead to Me season 2 would be out during quarantine to help us make through at least two days. 🙂 And that’s about how long it took me to binge the show. We pick up with Jen and Judy after some unfortunate events unfold in the season 1 finale, and we get to follow them on the path of dealing with the aftermath of it. It’s darkly funny, a tad suspenseful, and fully entertaining. *Language warning if you’re not into shows with a lot of cursing.* You can watch the trailer for season 2 here. But if you haven’t watched season 1, be prepared for spoilers!

Accordion Hook Rack

Paul’s parents gifted me this brass hook rack for my birthday back in April, and I finally got it up on the wall. I debated between the bathroom for towels and the back door for my reusable shopping bags, my umbrella, a denim jacket, etc. I opted for the back door after finding a better option for hooks in the bathroom. And at only $16, it’s a great deal.

Okay friends, that’s what I know to be good this time. Now you tell me what’s good. Have a great week!
