Current Obsession: Dainty Necklaces

Accessories can make or break an outfit, but one sure fire way to make your outfit is by adding a dainty necklace or two. It helps you look put together and like you put some thought into finishing your look even if you totally didn’t. I also think it’s fun to find jewelry with meaning. Whether it’s meaningful to you or to the person you’re planning to gift a piece of jewelry to, when it represents something significant, it will mean that much more every time you put it on. Not to sound all Joanna Gaines, but being intentional about your purchases, especially jewelry, especially fine jewelry, they’ll be pieces that you will want to take care of, wear often, and keep in your possession for years and possibly generations to come. Today, I’ve rounded up a few necklaces and retailers that will help complete any outfit that may need that little something extra.

The Faith/Fear Medallion is a necklace I wanted the moment I saw it. It has been a nice reminder to me to keep the faith when so much in the world is uncertain. And what a sweet gift to give to a friend going through something tough or a gift to let someone know how much their faith has touched your life. Can you tell I love it? Get all the details about it here.

The queen of dainty necklaces herself has some incredible options in her own store that are available to purchase online. The year necklace is a fantastic way to wear your favorite meaningful year. It could be your birth year, the year you got married, the year you quit smoking, or how about good ol’ 2020? Haha! This is another great gift idea to commemorate a special time.

Uncommon James

Kristin Cavallari has wowed us ever since her Laguna Beach days, and she continues to wow us with her jewelry line, Uncommon James. It’s impossible for me to just pick one necklace that I like. I love how well they layer and how many options there are. If you’re a choker kind of girl, she has some of the best, and the longer necklaces are so pretty. And I’m getting some serious Beth Dutton vibes from this one.

Local Shops

McFerrin’s Jewelry– From fine jewelry to more affordable lines, McFerrin’s has so many great options. I shared here about the one I got as an anniversary gift. I also love the ones below. Jehle is always so great to work with and I’ve loved every piece I’ve received from her. Follow on Facebook or call 334-382-7755.

The Roost– I found this popular Initial Card Necklace by Bracha Jewelry at The Roost a year or so ago and still wear it regularly. They have many other brands and styles of dainty necklaces. It’s always a good stop to make when on the hunt for cute jewelry. Follow on Facebook and Instagram or call 334-371-1003.

Up-cycle Your Baby Jewelry

Many years ago I was obsessed with a gold circle necklace. I wish I could remember what sparked the obsession, but I found one, sent the link to my mom and told her I wanted that for Christmas. But good ol’ Rhonda did me one better and had my BABY RING made into a necklace for me! It’s 100 times more special and something I cherish every time I put it on. It was an incredibly thoughtful way to give me what I wanted but also made sure that I could have it and wear it forever.

Okay, let’s just say you’re like me and want to wear multiple necklaces at once, because more is more, but you hate how they tangle. I’ve found this device on Amazon. It’s currently in my cart just waiting on me to finish my back-to-school order. I’m hoping this will remedy those frustrating tangles that happen throughout the day. I’ll report back when it gets in and I’ve given it a test run.

So are you a dainty necklace wearer or are you more into the chunky jewerly? To be honest, I’d wear both, but as of late, I’m all about the dainty, layered look. If you have any other places you find pretty baubles, let me know in the comments. I’m always on the hunt for cute jewelry.
