Rise and shine! This weekend was filled with relaxing after my first week with students, preparing for the new format of learning we’ll be doing, laundry, and a Hamilton re-watch/sing-a-long. Paul and I got to cook breakfast Sunday morning, which we haven’t been able to do in quite a while, so that was good for my soul. Every week I try to write down the things that have been “good” in my opinion, and I round them up to share with you here. I’ve got a good list today. Let’s get started.
LITTLE WOMEN
Last Monday, Labor Day, I was able to re-watch the new Little Women. It’s on Starz, so I recorded it and settled in to watch one of my favorite stories. It was every bit as good as I remembered it being in theaters, and if you haven’t seen it, I recommend you watch it.
PUMPKIN SPICE CANDLE
On my latest Walmart run I scooped up a Pumpkin Spice candle from the Mainstays line. First, I love the frosty orange cylinder of the container. Second, I love the gold lid and no-fuss label. Plus, it smells pretty wonderful! Get yours before they’re all gone! I also snagged the Fall Farmhouse scent and plan to burn that one in November. It’s a little more woodsy (my favorite). These fall scents are not online, so hurry to your store to get them.
PUMPKIN SPICE NUTPODS
Speaking of pumpkin spice….I had to make myself walk away from the pumpkin spice creamer at the grocery store. Hence the pumpkin spice candle. But I have found the best alternative to the grocery store stuff: Nutpods. I shared these last year, and you know, ’tis the season! Nutpods don’t have a strong, sweet flavor, they’re made with coconut/almond milk, are keto friendly, and won’t break your fast if you’re into intermittent fasting. I get mine from Amazon.
BLONDIE RECIPE
Paul kept saying how badly he was craving blondies, so I googled a recipe to make them for him. And boy did I find a good one! These things were incredible and so delicious warmed up with a scoop of vanilla. I, of course, made it my own, so I left out the white chocolate chips and substituted the walnuts for chopped pecans.
GAME DAY EARRINGS
Football season is mere weeks away, Auburn fans! And I have the perfect earring for us fans to wear. Actually, if you’re an LSU or Greenville Tiger fan, you’ll like these too! I saw these precious tiger print earrings on Simply Chic Baton Rouge’s Instagram page and immediately swiped up to buy. They’re lightweight, so cute, and perfect for game day. Get yours here.
Anyone else have a busy week ahead? I’m already looking forward to the weekend. We have a fun wedding event to attend, and I am actually excited to do something. I’ve been very leery of going places, but now that school has started, I’m ready to resume a few more normal activities. Have a great week, y’all!
