5 Good Things | No. 13

My, my, my! What a week! I thought I was going to be starting my first full week of school, but Hurricane Sally had other plans for us. Thankfully, all was well in the Norman house. I did have some bright spots during the week and have listed them below for you. One of them was definitely getting to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of Paul’s cousin Cam to his beautiful fiance, Bailey! Did you get a look at all those Normans in one picture? Welcome to the family, Bailey!

The Americans

Paul and I pretty much only watched Yellowstone this summer and needed something new once it was over. We watched Longmire, well, Paul watched most of it. I caught some episodes here and there. But we both wanted to start a new show that we could watch together. We’d heard good things about The Americans but didn’t know too much. It’s actually quite fascinating, and I am now wondering who all I’ve crossed paths with that might be a Russian spy. Kidding! Kind of. What it on Amazon Prime.

Paul’s Anniversary Gift

I wanted to get Paul something one-of-a-kind for our 10th anniversary. I decided to call on Greenville’s favorite artist, Stacey Edwards. She made this incredible watercolor of a golf cart for me. I told her what I wanted, sent her a photo of a blue golf cart, and she came up with this beautiful rendering. I am absolutely in love! Paul loves it, too, most importantly. Now I need to frame it. Can’t decide if I’m going the custom route or choosing a frame myself. Isn’t it wonderful?

Crock Pot Greek Chicken with Homemade Tzatziki Sauce

Last week I shared the recipe for a delicious Greek chicken. I’m still thinking about it. Make this recipe and don’t skip the homemade tzatziki sauce! It’s worth the extra work. Just do it the night before to make it easier on you.

Zoya Charli

I know I just shared about Zoya Tara, which I will continue to reach for this fall, but I was rifling through my nail polish and found this gem named Charli. She’s a taupe-y green that’s totally a neutral and is a great fall color. Topped off with my go-to top coat from Essie.

McFerrin’s Glasses

This past week I had to run in to McFerrin’s to get a wedding gift. While I was waiting for it to be wrapped I took a little stroll around the store, and these beautiful orange and blue glasses caught my eye. Maybe it’s the upcoming game day that made me linger, but honestly they’re just gorgeous. That and the love of all things dishes runs deeeeeeep with the Stevens women. I don’t need these at all but maybe you do! 🙂

Well, there you have it, friends. I surely hope this week is better than last. So glad our community was mostly okay after Hurricane Sally came through. My thoughts and prayers are with all of our friends at the beach and in the areas hit hardest. Let’s make it a great one, y’all!
