My Tried and True Self Tanner

Happy April 1st! It’s that time of year again for us fair skin girls who desperately need a tan but can’t always get it from the sun. Maybe you’re like me and just don’t tan very well in the sun because you get burnt so easily. Maybe you don’t have time to lay about in the sunshine. Maybe your sun worshipping days are just over. Regardless of your reason, the world has made it simple for those of us who need a tan and need it fast. Let’s talk about that today.

The Self Tanner

Over my blogging life, I have talked about several different kinds of self tanners, but I’ve found one I’ve repurchased multiple times, and it seems to be a product that is sticking around. I tried the Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Dark on a whim, and it has really worked out nicely for me. It goes on smoothly with a clean mitt and dries within ten minutes or so. If I’ve got some extra time, I will give it twenty before getting dressed. I usually don’t have transfer to my clothes, but I do notice transfer to my sheets when I put it on at night and sleep in it before showering. However, it comes right out in the wash.

The Applicator

Trust me when I tell you that you need an applicator mitt to apply self tanner. Your hands will be ruined and orange or just look like you’ve been playing in dirt. I do like the disposable ones, but I have discovered this one that is washable. For someone who does a lot of self tanning, this mitt is a must! I’ve had mine over a year, and it’s held up perfectly.

Tips for Self Tanning

Way back in 2018 I shared my tips on what you need to know about self tanning. I still stand by all of these tips. If you’re a newbie to self tanning, give that post a quick read. Here’s to baring our freshly and fakely tanned legs this spring. 🙂
