Halloween with the Normans

It’s officially holiday season. I consider it to have started on October 1st. That’s when the party invitations start to roll in, decorations start appearing in front yards, large amounts of candy start being consumed, and life starts to get a bit crazier. I decided to add in a bit more crazy and go all out when it came to decorating this holiday season. Naturally, I’m starting with Halloween, and boy have I had fun doing it. Want a look around my apartment?I had all of the decor except the skeleton which I first introduced in a poll on Instagram asking if I should get it. 100% of you voted Yes, so he came home. Only I decided he was a she. Her name is Verna May, and she’s delightful in my great grandmother’s hat and a vintage broach and pearls.

I went a little overboard on the gauze, but I kind of love it. I have no real rhyme or reason to my decor. I just took everything out of the box and put it up somewhere. Nothing really matches, there’s no theme, and I don’t mind one bit. If you can’t have fun with decorations in your own home where can you have fun with them?

This old picture is something I got from my granny. I wish I could ask her why she got this creepy thing. But it turned out good for my Halloween decorations.

Do you decorate for Halloween? What’s your favorite way to decorate? Spooky, cute, kid-friendly? Tell me in the comments! Happy Halloween, y’all!
