Local Shops Gift Guide

Happy Hump Day, folks!

I’m so excited about today’s blog post! I’ve partnered up with some of the local shops in and around Greenville. Here’s how it goes as the layout is a bit different: I’ve picked something from each store that I recommend and the shop owners have picked a favorite, too. I can’t wait for you to read and then go shopping! You’re also going to want to read all the way through to the end because there may be some special deals for you readers.

The Pineapple

The Pineapple has been a store I’ve frequented in Greenville for as long as I can remember. I’ve gifted countless wedding, baby, Christmas, and “just because” gifts from there, and I’m sure you have too. I was thrilled when Mandy agreed to offer up her pick of what she’d give as a gift this Christmas: Pampa Bay serving pieces. Aren’t they stunning? And it turns out they aren’t just pretty. They are heavy-duty performers. Each piece is made of porcelain with a gold and silver titanium finish. They’re dishwasher safe, stain resistant, food safe, won’t scratch or lose luster, tarnish free, and get this, OVEN SAFE up to 350ยฐ! The silver mixes beautifully with your pewter pieces, too. And, y’all, the price point is kind of amazing. Like, really good. These would make the perfect hostess gift for your next dinner party. The long trays are some of Mandy’s favorites, and mine is the pedestal cake stand. Here’s a little tip for you: Pampa Bay is the perfect accompaniment to this weekend’s Saturday Special. Head to The Pineapple this weekend to see what I’m talking about. ๐Ÿ™‚
Time for my pick. No surprise that it’d be jewelry. What can I say? I love an accessory. I get it from my Aunt Sharon. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve had my eye on those black and gold ones in the top picture, but now that I’ve seen the ones in the top right of the second picture, I’m thinking I might need those, too. I can also think of about 10 girls that I could gift these to. And guess what? Today is Wednesday, which means you are getting 25% off of all jewelry today! What. Are. You. Waiting. For?

McFerrin’s Jewelry

When I reached out to Jehle about including McFerrin’s in this blog post, she eagerly jumped on board. I’m so thankful she did! First, we need to talk about my greeting when I walked in the door. McFerrin, Jehle’s youngest, was grinning at me from ear to ear, immediately let me pick him up and play with him while his mom helped another customer. Then Pride, Jehle’s oldest, proceeded to sell me all the things. ๐Ÿ™‚ It was precious and so much fun. If you need a daily dose of cuteness, go see Jehle and her boys!

This is, of course not the only reason I went in, so let’s get to the goods, shall we?

I was instantly drawn to these three necklaces. The top picture is two layered together, and I love how it looks. Gold is my thing, and these two are perfection. I had to remember I wasn’t supposed to be thinking just for myself, so I thought of some of my friends and family members who go for the daintier pieces, and the one in the second picture is perfect for just that girl. I like that it’s sweet, but it’s got a little edge. And the sparkle factor is perfection.
Mrs. Susan Foster, Jehle’s mom, and my former math teacher, picked out the Y necklace and the bracelets. Each one would look beautiful on it’s own, but wouldn’t they look great all stacked together for some serious arm candy? I know a few ladies who would like these, too.If you’ll forgive my totally unprofessional hand modeling, I’m going to show you Jehle’s pick. Holy goodness! I’m a major fan of the stackables, and that emerald and diamond one just went to the top of my Christmas list. I totally sent Paul a picture of it. There were so many more, but we were able to showcase several of the stones with this stack. I’ve got to mention how unbelievable priced these rings are. You will be pleasantly surprised when you see them.

McFerrin’s isn’t just about the jewelry. They have a stunning collection of serving pieces and small gift ideas as well. I just simply couldn’t tear myself away from the jewelry counter. (Mostly because Pride was making me try on every single ring in the case. ๐Ÿ™‚ I wasn’t mad about it one bit, either!) If you choose to go shopping at McFerrin’s this Christmas, mention that you read this blog post, and Jehle said she’ll give you 20% off of your purchase! Thanks, Jehle! That makes those stackables even more affordable!

The Roost

It’s hard to pick just one thing in The Roost. I’m partial to the jewelry, but the clothes, and the home decor are all fabulous. And can we talk about those dog ornaments on the tree in the front door? I cannot get over how cute they are. The dog lover in your life needs one.ย

My pick is the O-venture key rings. They are super cute, super practical, but most of all, super genius. How will you ever lose your keys on that giant ring? It’s easy to grab in the biggest of purses, or you can just slip it on your wrist like a bangle. How have I not owned one of these? They’re one of Oprah’s favorite things, so if it’s good enough for Oprah, it’s good enough for me! The Roost has leather and silicone options in lots of colors. They would make a great teacher gift, girlfriend gift, coworker gift, and stocking stuffer. We all need these.

Mrs. Marilyn chose the robes and wraps. I threw in that cute grey poncho since it’s in the wrap family. As I said Monday, I’m a self-proclaimed homebody, and there’s nothing better than something comfy to wear while you’re at home. #amiright How excited would your mom or girlfriend be if you gave her that wrap with the fur pom poms? I know I would be. Just because you’re hanging out at home doesn’t mean you can’t look cute. Throwing on the floral black robe over that sweet gown would be the coziest and the cutest.

Sweet Heart Alabama

Danan at Sweet Heart Alabama was another shop owner to instantly agree to participate in this gift guide. Danan and I go way back to Auburn when I worked for her while I was in college. She was just as nice then as she is now and equally as cool. I’m so glad she’s back in town, and y’all, she’s got all the things! Danan’s picks are the Mukluk Socks, the handmade journals, and she and I both pick the vintage Christmas trees. Okay, let me explain these Mukluk socks. They are these beautifully made tall socks. They are made to wear inside (no real sole), come in several sizes and color ways, and are just really stinking cool. They would make the perfect gift for someone who likes outside-of-the-box ideas. I definitely know people who would like these. I also think the journal would be a great hostess gift for them to leave in the guest room for overnight guests to write a little note about their stay.ย I still choose the vintage Christmas trees as a pretty and nostalgic gift, but I’m going another way for my other pick. Perhaps it’s because I’m a teacher, but Elderberry would make the perfect stocking stuffer for any teacher, caregiver, child, nurse, literally anyone. I deal with this on a regular basis, and the kids AND grownups need protection. She’s well stocked as you can see so get down there and get yours today. There are so many more incredible gift options in Sweet Heart Alabama, and Danan is delightful. You’ll thoroughly enjoy your visit and leave feeling lighter on your toes and perhaps with a probiotic. Haha! I did. ๐Ÿ™‚

Wisteria Cottage

Well, duh. You knew Wisteria was going to be on my list of places to find gifts. You should definitely be shopping here. Susie and Lauren are fantastic bosses and even better friends. I’m so glad our lives crossed paths and that they gave me the opportunity to work a few weekends a month in this sweet shop.

Susie’s pick is the new shoes from Chocolat Blu they are carrying. They’re incredibly lightweight, they go with everything, and they’re comfortable. What’s not to love? Go try on a pair for yourself.

Lauren’s pick is Ronaldo bracelets. Can you even with that black one? Definitely on my wish list. Many Ronaldo bracelets are connected to an organization so that when you purchase a bracelet, part of the proceeds go to that organization. My mom has the bracelet that benefits Alzheimer’s, since it so closely touched her life. Another great thing about Ronaldo bracelets is that they are so easily mixed and matched. I met the rep once, and she had an arm full that was so beautiful. It’s a fabulous line to buy one or two hear and there and add to your collection over time. The last thing I’ll mention about Ronaldo is that each month there is a featured bracelet that is sold at a discounted price. You’ve got to go see this month’s bracelet! It’s a beauty.ย

My pick is Sorreli Jewlery. I believe I’ve mentioned it before, but Sorreli earrings are among my favorites. I have a go-with-everything pair of gold hoops and a pair of emerald cut studs. I wear those with everything, too. They don’t hurt my ears, are light as a feather, and they’ll get you all the compliments. The ones I picked for today’s gift guide are sparkly and add just the right amount of glam. Doesn’t your sister need a pair for her holiday outfit? Sure she does! I also have a fun ring that’s adjustable, doesn’t turn (the metal or your finger), and can be worn as a midi-ring or regular ring depending how wide you want to open it. It’s simple, but the cocktail rings are stunning. They are total showstoppers and super shiny. Wisteria Cottage has a few of their bangle bracelets left, too. But hurry before they’re gone. You cannot go wrong with any of the Sorreli pieces, but I’d suggest starting with the earrings. Don’t forget to check Instagram and Facebook for their deals!

Johnson Furniture

Oh boy, was this store visit fun! It’s no surprise that I love all things home decor, and Ashley at Johnson Furniture was thrilled to participate, too. I walked around the store snapping pictures of everything, and again, I had to reel myself back in and remember to think about gifting things to others instead of to myself.
Lamps are something I’ve given before and like to give. They’re totally returnable, but usually the recipient has a spot for it. The brass desk lamp is a personal favorite as is the giant jar with the rope detail in the top picture.ย  I initially loved the cowhide rug with those flecks of gold to punch up the glam factor. If you know someone with a modern farmhouse vibe, they might really love this rug. But the more I looked at the vignette, I noticed that coffee table with the hairpin legs. #dreamy That modern farmhouse friend or family member would like that, too. When I went in the store, Adam Keith, the store owner pointed out these chairs. They are by Best Home Furnishings and are made right here in the USA. He says they’re a top seller, and I could totally understand why. They’re soft, well-made, and who doesn’t know a man (or woman) who doesn’t love “their chair”? I know six people off the top of my head that have their own special chair in their home. Your dad, mom, or husband would probably love a great chair this Christmas, yes?ย  Know anyone who needs new bedroom furniture? This rustic bed is quite beautiful. Sure, it’s a little pricey because it’s a bed, but you’d totally win Christmas with a gift like this. The accompanying pieces are equally as pretty and would make for a very stylish bedroom.
Below are Ashley’s picks. She was kind enough to send me a few pictures of the things she uses in her own home that are from Johnson Furniture.ย  The lamp and wing back rocking chair are stunning, and that chair can be customized. You just have to choose from 500 different fabrics! Slightly daunting to think about, but how wonderful! Think of the options. It’s so sweet in her nursery.Y’all, I’m not going to lie, when I saw this table, I squealed! The scallop detail is such a charming detail. It’s from the Magnolia Home line, and Ashley’s paired it with chairs that do not come with the table. Doesn’t it look great? Don’t be afraid to mix and match your table and chairs. It’s a great way to totally customize your home. I’ve got to mention the light fixture and artwork, too. Did you know that Johnson Furniture sells light fixtures? I didn’t, and I’m here for it! The fixture she has compliments the table and chairs perfectly.

You’ve got to head down to Johnson Furniture and let Adam and Ashley furnish your home with stylish fixtures for every room at a great price. Don’t forget to mention you read about them in this blog post!

ARTitude on Main

Okay, the last one I’ve got for you comes from ARTitude on Main. I mean, how could you not immediately want to go in after seeing this window decor? Stacey Edwards, owner of ARTitude, is insanely talented, a fabulous teacher, and a dang good time! If you’ve gone to any of her paint parties then you know I’m telling the truth. My pick is to grab your best girlfriend and pay for the two of you to go sip a margarita and paint yourselves a pretty picture while some great tunes play and Stacey teaches you how to paint something you never thought you could. Okay, I’ve got one more, but it’s for the kids. Stacey offers art lessons for the kiddos, and wouldn’t that be a great gift idea for the little art-lover in your life? Stacey picks a gift certificate for either a paint party ($30) or a month of art lessons ($60). That allows your gift recipient to choose the perfect time for them to schedule their experience at ARTitude on Main. Get all the details at her website here.

You guys! How cool was that?! I know there are so many wonderful shops to feature, and I hope that I can do that next time.
