My Current Beautycounter Favorites

Hi, friends! Now that it’s April and I’ve had a whole week off of school, my brain is back and functioning on all kinds of levels. It may be all the extra coffee I’ve needed this week as I’ve gotten back into the school routine, but whatevs. All I know is that I have been brainstorming ideas like crazy for this blog. April is going to be one of the busiest months ever, but I’m going to give it a go and try to do it all. Fingers crossed.

I’ve been a Beautycounter consultant for a while now and have seen some products come and go. I’ve used products, tested products, and I’ve repurchased some products over and over. Because I’m a consultant I’ve been able to see what my clients like, what they repurchase, and even what they don’t like. When asked, they are all honest with me and give genuine feedback. As I was reflecting on this past year and looking at the products I purchased and the products my clients have purchased, I took the similarities and consistencies and decided to compile two lists for you: my favorites and their favorites.

I frequently share products in my Facebook group and on my Instastories, but these are the ones that I and my clients truly, truly love, use and repurchase.

We’ll start with my list.

1. Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser– It has these micro beads that super exfoliate my skin but does it so gently that I don’t get dry patches. It’s the best cleanser I’ve ever used.
2. Countercontrol Matte Effect Gel Cream– It’s the perfect moisturizer for my oily skin. I am completely hydrated and less oily than ever. It’s totally legit, y’all.
3. Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Stick SPF 30– This is the perfect sunscreen to put on your face before you apply your makeup. It’s very absorbent and smells great, too.
4. Countercontrol SOS Acne Spot Treatment– I can use this for two days, morning and night, and my blemish is gone. Pure magic!
5. Color Intense Lipsticks– A true statement making formulation. They aren’t called Color Intense for nothing. My favorite color is 9 to 5.
6. Lip Gloss– The best lip gloss I’ve ever owned, I swear. They aren’t sticky and layer over lipstick like a dream. It’s a total must-have.
7. One-Step Makeup Remover Wipes– These are my best friends on late nights or when I’m travelling. They’re also pretty perfect for teenagers.

Now for the clients’ list.

1. No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil– Packed with vitamin C, you’ll be looking radiant, and your skin will be so smooth. It’s also an Allure Magazine Best of Beauty Award Winner.
2. Charcoal Cleansing Bar– To be honest, this is still one of my favorites, too, but so many people love this stuff. It’s detoxifying and lasts for months.
3. Nourishing Cream Cleanser– Even Paul likes this! It’s hydrating and cleansing all at the same time. It’s very gentle but strong enough to wash away your makeup.
4. Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion– This lotion is what I used before they introduced the Countercontrol line for oily and acne-prone skin. It has been repurchased multiple times by many clients. It has a bio-mimic technology that adapts to what your skin needs. So cool!
5. Overnight Resurfacing Peel– This product will get your skin glowing and do it overnight. They rave about this, y’all. It’s been called “magic in a bottle” on several occasions.
6. Body Wash in Citrus Mimosa– Super gently and non-drying. It also smells incredible and lasts so long. You truly only need a dime-size amount to lather up your loofah and get squeaky clean.
7. One-Step Makeup Remover Wipes– These again. I told you they were good.

And just for good measure, some things I’ve been wanting to try.

1. Brilliant Brow Gel– I have a love/hate relationship with my brows. I never do them the same and never know what color to do them. Plus, I’ve never used a brow gel, and I’m really curious.
2. Precision Liquid Eyeliner– Liquid eyeliner makes such a statement. It’s not something I wear everyday, but I like to punch it up for date night and other events. I’d like to try out Beautycounter’s formulation.
3. Countercontrol Instant Matte Toner– I used an ACV toner for a while, but when I started using the Countercontrol line, I stopped the toner. Since this is part of the same line, I’ve been thinking about giving it a go.
4. Countermatch Eye Rescue Cream– It’s never too early for an eye cream. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. I hear excellent things about this one.
