One of the great things about Beautycounter is its mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone. The key word being everyone. All genders, all ages, and all races. The tinted sunscreen is exactly the kind of thing that sets Beautycounter apart from all the rest in the sunscreen game. Well, that and the fact that it’s safe for you.
Why is this so important?
Personally, I was thinking about how great it would be if I could actually look like I’d already gotten a little bit of a summer glow before I hit the pool. I can achieve that with sunless tanner, but it doesn’t give me the SPF I need nor is it fresh when I actually head to the pool or beach because, hello, water and sunless tanner do NOT mix. Needless to say, tinted sunscreen sounds pretty darn amazing.
One day I was scrolling Instagram and stopped on a fellow Beautycounter consultant’s post who happens to be a person of color. She pointed out the fact that it’s frustrating for people who have a darker complexion to always have a white-cast from sunscreen. Well, to the whitest of the white girls here, that thought had never really crossed my mind. But everyone needs sunscreen. Skin cancer doesn’t discriminate, and though it may seem that I’m more susceptible to it, I’m not necessarily. People of all colors need sun protection. Beautycounter is making that happen.
Why is Beautycounter sunscreen so great?
It’s formulated with non-nano zinc oxide and California poppy extract. The mist is not aerosol; it’s air powered. It sprays at any angle, water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, and is coral reef friendly.
It’s available in two shades: light/medium and medium/dark.
It’s not available for expedited or priority shipping at the moment.
It is a tinted product so be careful when choosing the clothes you will wear once it’s applied. It can transfer.
If you’re planning to use on a child under six months, ask your doctor.
How can I get some for myself?
You can order at my Beautycounter website. That’s always the easiest route. There’s always a link in my bio on Instagram, and if you haven’t joined me in my Facebook group, please request to join. I would love to have you! Once you’re on the website, take a look around, read up about the mission of Beautycounter, see what kind of sales we have going on, read up on what it means to be a Band of Beauty member– it could save you money in the long run, and finally, take a look at joining my team as a fellow consultant.
Are there any other sunscreen products?
Yes, indeed! Lots, actually. Here they are:
Countersun Mist (also available in travel size)
Countersun Lotion (also available in travel size)
Countersun After Sun Cooling Gel
I recently read that you can try all the anti-aging creams in the world, but if you aren’t wearing sunscreen, then you’re just spinning the wheel, my friend. This is truly great advice, and I plan to follow it with my Beautycounter sunscreen.
