I worked at Wisteria Cottage this past weekend, and so many women were coming in to buy Christmas presents. And all I could think was, isn’t it a little early? But, y’all, it’s so not. It’s that time of year. Time to start making your lists and checking them twice. Continue reading “Beautycounter Holiday Makeup Collections”

Buffalo Check Kitchen Curtains
One night while scrolling through Facebook, I noticed an ad for Walmart that stopped me in my scroll. It made my eyes go wide, and without even realizing it, I’d clicked the link, added to my cart, and purchased. Hook, line, and sinker, y’all. Continue reading “Buffalo Check Kitchen Curtains”
Movie Set Monday- Breakfast at Tiffany’s
I must have lived in Manhattan in a past life. I have always been attracted to the concrete jungle and have had the privilege to visit it once when I was thirteen. It’s so appealing with the skyscrapers, the fashion, Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, Broadway shows, New York-style pizza, and the Brownstones. Naturally, we’ll be visiting another Brownstone today from way back in the early 60s.
Seven on a Saturday- Fall Fashion Inspiration
Lately, I’ve been dressing for the season and not the weather. It gets a little old when I break a sweat walking from my car to my classroom because October in Alabama is still in the 90s, but we’ve gotten a tad bit of relief in temperature this week, so I feel it’s the right time to share a little fall outfit inspiration. Halloween with the Normans
It’s officially holiday season. I consider it to have started on October 1st. That’s when the party invitations start to roll in, decorations start appearing in front yards, large amounts of candy start being consumed, and life starts to get a bit crazier. I decided to add in a bit more crazy and go all out when it came to decorating this holiday season. Naturally, I’m starting with Halloween, and boy have I had fun doing it. Want a look around my apartment? Continue reading “Halloween with the Normans”
What You Need to Know About Self Tanning
Technically, I’m a little late to the self tanning tips game. But so what? It’s fall now, and it’s still really stinking hot in Alabama. Most of us won’t be wearing sweaters and fleece-lined leggings for a long while. With school in full swing none of us get to lay out by the pool as often, so I wanted to share some tips on having a great self tanning experience so we can still rock our shorts and sandals well into the fall here in the south with bronzed confidence. Continue reading “What You Need to Know About Self Tanning”
Tailgate Tuesday- Make Ahead Spinach Dip
Some game days are so busy that making a hot dip or appetizer that morning is just impossible. It’s been happening to me a lot more now that I’ve started working on Saturdays. But I’ve found a recipe that is actually better when you make it the night before. Even better, it only takes a few minutes to mix up. After that, just store it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve it. Here’s the recipe to my mom’s cold spinach dip. Continue reading “Tailgate Tuesday- Make Ahead Spinach Dip”
Movie Set Monday- The Parent Trap- Annie’s England Home
Happy Monday, friends. Last week I shared the first home from The Parent Trap that’s located in sunny California. In the original film, it’s a unique ranch house that I’d move into today and not change a thing. In the remake, it’s a home on a vineyard that has the same chill vibe that invites the outside in with giant windows and multiple pairs of French doors. But you didn’t think I’d go without sharing the England home, did ya? It’s absolutely beautiful inside and out. Scroll through for a look at this gorgeous home. Continue reading “Movie Set Monday- The Parent Trap- Annie’s England Home”
Seven on a Saturday- Fall Pretties
I’m gonna go ahead a throw it out there that I don’t like summer. It’s my least favorite season because I hate to be hot. And when you live in the south, it’s flipping hot! Naturally, when fall rolls around, I embrace it like it’s my long lost best friend. Continue reading “Seven on a Saturday- Fall Pretties”
