New Year, New Leaf, and All That Stuff

Have you ever felt a nudge to do something? Not just a one-time thought but a persistent, won’t-leave-you-alone type of nudge? This has been happening to me since January about this blog space that I have. It gets brought to the forefront of my brain at least once a day. I pay for this domain to stay mine, so when the emails started rolling in about the renewal fee being charged in January, it jolted my memory that Oh Yeah! I have this online space just waiting around for me. That’s what got the whole idea turning over and over in my mind. Then one night in the bathroom at the Flora-Bama of all places, a friend told me that I should write. (She was talking about a book, but that is an idea to ponder for another day…like a day 10 years down the road.) But I heard that come out of her mouth and thought, whoa! I’ve been thinking about this blog for a full month now and she says this…ok, I’m listening.

What I Actually Read This Summer

Back in early June I put together a list of books I had on my TBR (to be read) list for the summer. It was lofty for me, but I knew I wanted to get in as many books as I could before school started back. Well, sadly summer is coming to a close, and I wanted to see how my actual book reading held up to my TBR list.

The Tank Top You Need Now!

Ladies, I have hit the tank top lottery! It’s modest, lightweight, breathable, soft, and extremely versatile. And here’s the best part: it’s under $5!!! Yes, my friends, this tank top is from our beloved Walmart. I heard my girl Meghan talking about it on her Instastories, so I knew it had to be good. She has the best finds from Walmart, y’all. Anyway, she was showing the black one, so I went out and picked one up the next time I made a grocery run. I literally wore it two days in a row. (I washed it.) And on that second day I went back to the store and bought another black one (I know; don’t judge.) and a white one. They come in several color ways, but you all know how I tend to stick to neutrals.
