I must have lived in Manhattan in a past life. I have always been attracted to the concrete jungle and have had the privilege to visit it once when I was thirteen. It’s so appealing with the skyscrapers, the fashion, Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, Broadway shows, New York-style pizza, and the Brownstones. Naturally, we’ll be visiting another Brownstone today from way back in the early 60s.

Movie Set Monday- The Parent Trap- Annie’s England Home
Happy Monday, friends. Last week I shared the first home from The Parent Trap that’s located in sunny California. In the original film, it’s a unique ranch house that I’d move into today and not change a thing. In the remake, it’s a home on a vineyard that has the same chill vibe that invites the outside in with giant windows and multiple pairs of French doors. But you didn’t think I’d go without sharing the England home, did ya? It’s absolutely beautiful inside and out. Scroll through for a look at this gorgeous home. Movie Set Monday- The Parent Trap Hallie’s Napa Home
Happy Monday, y’all! I’ve recently come across a few more homes that have been begging to be featured on Movie Set Monday, and I’ve finally put together some posts about them. I recently saw that The Parent Trap was on TV, and I remembered loving that movie as a kid. Now that I’m all grown up I watch it in an entirely different way. The homes are amazing, and the relationship and arrangement with those twins is quite interesting. Hmm… Anyway, let’s visit Hallie’s California vineyard in Napa. Movie Set Monday- The Good Wife
Are you ready to see the chicest Chicago apartment on television? It’s truly one of the reasons I liked the show so much. I binged The Good Wife a while back and shared an instastory about it on my Instagram. And then just this weekend my sister-in-law told me that she has started watching it! I was so excited for her and told her to buckle up for the ride. It’s a wild one! One thing’s for sure, Alicia’s apartment is pretty spectacular.
If you’ve been around here awhile, you know I have a thing for French doors and built ins. Since this apartment has both, I’m pretty much swooning over this one picture and don’t have to see anything else. Continue reading “Movie Set Monday- The Good Wife”
Movie Set Monday- You’ve Got Mail
Don’t you love when you watch a movie and it immediately becomes one you know you’ll want to watch again and again? And then you watch it so many times that the details like the clothes they wear and the homes they live in start to catch your attention? I’ll never quit loving movies, and why on Earth would I want to? Movies like You’ve Got Mail do not disappoint in the home department. They are thoughtful to the character, beautiful, and timeless. Didn’t you just love this one?
You’ve Got Mail, set in New York City, tells the story of Kathleen Kelly and her bookshop called The Shop Around the Corner that must close down due to a big-box bookstore called Fox Books owned by Joe Fox and his family. I won’t elaborate in case you’ve never seen it. And if you have, you know how it all plays out and how fantastic this story is. Continue reading “Movie Set Monday- You’ve Got Mail”
Movie Set Monday- Big Little Lies Part Three
This is the last home we’ll visit today from the set of Big Little Lies in lovely Monterey, California. We’ve seen the homes of Madeline and Celeste, and today we’ll see the unbelievable home of Renata Klein.

Movie Set Monday- Big Little Lies Part Two
We’re going back to Monterey, California today to visit another home of the HBO series, Big Little Lies. Last week we took a peek into Madeline’s home.
Today we’ll be looking at Celeste Wright’s home. Remember how there were walls of windows in Madeline’s home? Well, it’s practically the same here. And even though the views are a tad different, Celeste’s views are equally as stunning.

Movie Set Monday- Big Little Lies Part One
If you’ve never heard of Big Little Lies, get yourself to a library or to Amazon RIGHT NOW and get the book. Read it in the day and a half it’ll take you because you will absolutely not want to put it down, have yourself a day to process what just happened, then binge watch the series on HBO. You’re welcome.
The book takes place in Australia, but the series takes place in Monterey, California. I’m convinced there wasn’t a more beautiful backdrop for the show. You’ll see what I mean when you see the views from the characters’ homes. Today we’re taking a peek into Madeline Mackenzie’s home. Reese Witherspoon plays this character, and if you’ve seen the show you know that this kitchen is spectacular. Continue reading “Movie Set Monday- Big Little Lies Part One”
Movie Set Monday- Home Alone
When you start scrolling through these pictures you’re going to say, “Elizabeth, what is wrong with you? Why did you pick this house? The wallpaper. The tile countertops. The wallpaper. The patterns. The wallpaper.” 🙂
But hear me out. This house is iconic. We’ve all seen Home Alone and could recognize the exterior anywhere. It’s a massive, gorgeous home. Though the inside may be behind in our modern day decor, it’s still a great home with many things to enjoy. Continue reading “Movie Set Monday- Home Alone”
Movie Set Monday- Father of the Bride
Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride Part II are some of the best movies. Maybe one of the best sequels out there. And of course, the incomparable Nancy Meyers had her hand in it, so we know the movie set is gorgeous. I’ve featured just a few (wink wink) of her films on the Movie Set Monday series. You can see them here.
This may be one of the most iconic house exteriors. It’s everyone’s dream home including the white picket fence. Continue reading “Movie Set Monday- Father of the Bride”
